UN takes action to support countries in protecting children

The UN released a new set of guidelines that give states concrete advice on how to better protect children from all forms of sexual exploitation, including those happening in the context of travel and tourism and online.

The guidelines regarding the implementation of the Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the sale of children, child prostitution and child pornography specifically refer to prevention of the offences covered by the Optional Protocol, including the sale and sexual exploitation of children in the context of travel and tourism.
